Besiktas striker and West Ham summer target Cyle Larin has turned down a new contract at the Turkish club, according to Haber 365.

The Canada international wanted a higher annual fee and bonus payment than what they were offering him, and failure to meet his demands has seen him turn down the deal.

This could play into the Hammers' hands as they were linked with him all summer.

According to Sozcu, the London club were even leading the race for his services.

They also reported on their website that the 26-year-old was keen to move to England in the upcoming transfer window after a stunning season at Besiktas.

The interest in moving to the Premier League still exists and the fact that he's not signed a new deal with a few months left in his current contract suggests that he could be on his way out.

Larin, a player who had been labelled "phenomenal" a few years ago by 18 Futbol, could be perfect for the Hammers.

They've been looking to sign a striker since Sebastien Haller left and while Michail Antonio is performing at the highest level, there still is the need to sign a specialist number nine.

In Larin, they will be getting someone who guarantees goals - the main thing one wants from their striker.

Last season in the Turkish league, he bagged 19 goals and provided six assists in 38 games.

While the Premier League is a different ball game, we back him to score at least 15, given the service in the Hammers ranks.
