West Ham learn Mikel Gogorza fate as FC Midtjylland respond to £12m offer
West Ham's approach for Mikel Gogorza has received a response from FC Midtjylland.
Nuno Espirito Santo is in the market for wingers, with only Jarrod Bowen, Manor Solomon and Keiber Lamadrid as natural options in the squad.
It seems like the recruitment team have turned to the Scandinavian market, as the Irons are also eyeing Edvin Austbo from Viking.
Gogorza was the subject of a £12million bid from the Hammers, as they try to beef up their depth in attack.
However, it appears that there is more to do before he makes a move to the London Stadium.

What was FC Midtjylland's response to West Ham's offer for Mikel Gogorza
The Athletic's Roshane Thomas reported the initial approach for Gogorza on Saturday.
He did not include whether it had been accepted or dismissed by the Conference League side.
Daniel Nojsen Fallah, from Danish outfit Bold, claimed later that same day that Midtjylland have rejected the offer.
The report does not rule out a new bid, saying that time will tell whether the Hammers will try again.
Why West Ham should go again for Gogorza
The Danish club is a talent factory, producing many talents who go on to sign for bigger European clubs.
Gogorza describes himself as an "explosive" player, and that is exactly what Nuno needs to revive his side's poor start to the campaign.
Speaking to So Foot in December 2025, he said: "I'm an explosive left-winger who tries to make his team better.
"I do this by attacking, dribbling, trying to win my one-on-ones, and I think I'm the little extra something a team needs."
If he can show those attributes in the second tier, he could prove to be a difference-maker in their attempts to earn promotion back to the Premier League.
It is worth taking a chance on the young ace as he has notched nine goals and seven assists in 67 matches for the Danish side.
The E20 outfit need pace on the flanks and he brings it in abundance and clearly knows where the net is.
