Reports on Saturday had shared that a West Ham bid was accepted for Austbo.
The price was said to be in the region of £10million, with the forward set to fly out to England to formalise the move and undergo his medical.
Now, it appears those steps are being put into motion as quickly as possible, with Austbo spotted at Stavanger Airport in Norway as he makes his way to East London.
The £10m move is the highest ever departure from the Norwegian football pyramid, and that makes it a record-breaking transfer, as shared by Aften Bladet.
After drawing 1-1 against Watford on Saturday, the Hammers do not have long before their next fixture versus Wolves on 1 September.
And with how quick this move seems to be moving, Austbo may very well be involved.
What else do West Ham need in the market before the deadline?
West Ham do still need another centre-back to join, with Jean-Clair Todibo expected to leave.
The Irons are not best equipped with senior central defenders, and that was shown with youngster Airidas Golambeckis starting against Watford.
