Youssef En-Nesyri is "working on an exit" from Sevilla with West Ham United in the hunt to sign him, according to Sport.

The Spanish newspaper reported via their print edition on Sunday (26 May, page 20) that En-Nesyri, 26, wants to play in the Premier League and "all eyes are on" the Hammers in the race to sign him this summer.

It is understood that after failing to sign the Morocco striker last year, the Irons now have "a great asset in their favour" following Julen Lopetegui's arrival as the new manager at the London Stadium.

Sport claims that the "killer" striker is valued at around £17.1million by Sevilla, where he played 115 times for Lopetegui.

Who will Julen Lopetegui sign at West Ham United?

It's no doubt going to be a big summer for West Ham because it'll be the first once since 2019 that hasn't been overseen by David Moyes.

Lopetegui never really had the chance to put his stamp on the team at Wolves, which is why he left Molineux on 8 August last year.

He did, however, manage to sign the likes of Matheus Cunha and Matt Doherty from Atletico Madrid, which suggests that he could dip his toes into the Spanish market this summer at the London Stadium.

Tim Steidtein will be the main man, however.

While he will know the German side of things better than most, he's someone who'll have irons in the fire across Europe and the rest of the world to welcome new signings to Stratford.

En-Nesyri has been linked with the Hammers continually over the last few years though so it's hard to take these rumours with anything but a pinch of salt.

However, Lopetegui's history of managing En-Nesyri at Sevilla would probably make it that bit easier to strike a deal this time around if Steidten can see value in it.

West Ham would like to have someone with that lethal edge about them in their team, that's for sure.
