West Ham eye shock summer transfer for Manchester United ace Rasmus Hojlund

Rasmus Hojlund is a potential transfer target for West Ham if they don’t secure Evan Ferguson on a permanent deal in the summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reported (5 February) that the Hammers are already looking towards to the summer and although they wish to make Ferguson’s loan permanent, if that fails to happen then Hojlund could be someone they look to sign instead.

TEAMtalk reports that the Red Devils are open to parting ways with the forward and a £40million bid could be enough to convince them to strike a deal.

Graham Potter eyeing up Rasmus Hojlund

Graham Potter will have been pleased to secure the services of Ferguson during the winter transfer window as he looks forward to reunited with the young forward for the remainder of the campaign.

After a frustrating campaign so far at Brighton, the 20-year-old will be keen to get going at the London Stadium and show the impact he can have in Claret and Blue.

If the forward impresses on loan, Potter will surely be keen to extend his services past the current campaign and if a deal can be struck that will be the priority in East London.

However, if a replacement is needed, Hojlund could be a good fit for the new Irons manager at West Ham.

Although the forward has two goals in 19 appearances, at 22-years-old, Potter could surely work his usual wonders with the young player to make him a key man in East London.

There is plenty of football to be played before these decisions are made but it is good to see forward planning from the Hammers boss as he makes long-term plans for his tenure at The London Stadium.
