West Ham: Crysencio Summerville proves why move is fully justified after more World Cup success
West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville remains at the centre of transfer conversations this summer.
The wideman impressed for the Netherlands once again on Saturday, as Ronald Koeman's side beat Sweden 5-1 at the World Cup.
His impressive form at international level follows an improved term at the London Stadium.
In a poor West Ham side, the Dutchman proved talismanic at times, with his form at the start of 2026 being a huge reason as to why the Hammers even had survival hopes.
Ultimately, Nuno Espirito Santo's side would drop down to the Championship on the final day of the season - seeing Summerville join a list of players guaranteed to move on.
But, as his stocks continue to rise, it is hard to argue that he has not deserved his chance to play at the top level.
Crysencio Summerville price rises once again after World Cup cameo
Arriving at the London Stadium in 2024, it took the 24-year-old a while to get up to speed initially, before his performances last season earned him a spot in the Dutch squad for the World Cup.
After scoring a fantastic goal in their opening match against Japan, he would sit on the bench for the opening period of the following clash with Sweden.
Replacing Donyell Malen for the second half, he wasted no time in making an immediate impact - having a huge say in Cody Gakpo's 47th minute goal, before he assisted the Liverpool wideman just seven minutes later.
With the Dutch leading 4-1 in Houston, Summerville would cap off the afternoon with his second of the tournament, driving forward brilliantly before firing home to seal a 5-1 victory.
As Hammers fans know, he is a complete bundle of energy, and this was the case once again on Saturday.
In just 45 minutes of action, he proved a real menace, while his contributions in the final third remain consistent, with two goals and an assist to his name now.
Alongside this, he has even been deployed in a more unnatural role on the right in both matches so far, but he has absolutely not looked fazed in either.
West Ham are set to lose him this summer, but his price tag continues to rise with every passing minute of the World Cup.
How will West Ham fans feel about pending Summerville exit?
This summer, the Irons need to raise around £150million in sales ahead of their second tier return.
Alongside Mateus Fernandes, Summerville is a player set to command a sizeable fee, while his own form has absolutely earned him a move.
With this in mind, it is hard to think anything other than West Ham fans wishing him well in whatever comes next.
Without Summerville, the survival hopes at the end of the season may not have been a thing, while the outcome could have been completely different had it not been for the injury suffered in March.
Alongside this, he could be set to bring a big cash windfall to the London Stadium - though of course, fans would have loved to see him in claret and blue next season.
