Nelson is firmly on West Ham's radar, with the east London outfit now exploring the possibility of a transfer.
The E20 side are hoping to sign the 26-year-old on loan after he spent the entire of last campaign with Brentford.
He's now back with Arsenal after his loan move to the Bees, but it remains to be seen whether the Gunners would accept the conditions that West Ham desire for a deal.
Writing for The Sun on Nelson in September of 2017, Premier League and Arsenal legend Henry explained every reason why West Ham should be signing the forward.
Henry wrote: "I worked with Reiss when I was at the Arsenal Academy and I was so impressed with him. He has all the attributes to make it.
"He has desire, confidence and a great attitude. He will run at you and be brave on the ball. Reiss is brave because he takes risks; he takes on the opposition.
"He is quick, and not just across the ground. He is quick in the mind; he understands the game. But you know when you see a player and you just want him to get the ball? He is that player. He has that ‘thing’."
If that doesn't explain everything West Ham need to know, then what will?
Nelson has had some underwhelming seasons, but previous success proves that all he may need is an arm wrapped around him.

Nelson is 26 now, and his best scoring season is seven followed by four, so it's clear to see that West Ham wouldn't be getting an out-and-out goalscorer.
However, the winger has made a career of being a useful bench option, something that he would most likely be coming to the London Stadium to be.
His contract with Arsenal expires in the summer of 2027, which may impact the Gunners' decision on whether to loan him out or not.
While he will most likely struggle for game time under Mikel Arteta once more this season, the north London side will not want to pay his wages.
At the same time, this is the final time that they might be able to get a decent transfer fee, and may ask West Ham to take him off their hands permanently.
