Soungoutou Magassa's West Ham exit twist as Bologna in three-way decision before deadline

Soungoutou Magassa looks likely to leave West Ham with Sevilla and Bologna in the mix.

The French midfielder has emerged as a target for those two European sides in the final few days of the window.

Now, with the deadline approaching, his future should increasingly get clearer as the window rumbles towards its conclusion.

Sevilla were said to be in a better position for Magassa, but that does not rule out Bologna entirely.

Now, an update on the Serie A side's ability to bring the West Ham midfielder to Italy has emerged.

Why Bologna have a decision to make on Soungoutou Magassa

Magassa has offers from both Sevilla and Bologna on the table, and it was understood that it was up to the Frenchman who to join.

However, now, his decision could be made for him with Bologna having a choice of their own to make.

According to the print edition of Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera on 1 September, Bologna have space in their squad for just one more midfielder.

Magassa is of course on the list to fill that spot, but they are also looking at Michel Ndary Adopo at Cagliari as well as Fiorentina's Rolando Mandragora.

So, if they decide to pursue one of those two options, that would mean Magassa is off the table.

Who else could leave West Ham?

Magassa may not be the only Hammer heading out the exit door before the deadline.

The future of Edson Alvarez needs to be resolved, with previous interest from Real Sociedad and Olympiacos unfortunately going nowhere.

Elsewhere, Jean-Clair Todibo is expected to leave for RC Lens after undergoing a medical. Just an official confirmation of that exit awaits.

And with it being deadline day, there may be some surprises yet.
