Soungoutou Magassa has appeared to make his feelings on West Ham United quite clear with his latest social media actions.

The 22-year-old arrived at the London Stadium from Monaco in a £22million deal last summer.

He featured 22 times in the Premier League, but started just 11 of those matches.

Magassa has been linked with a West Ham exit already, with Ligue 1 pair Marseille and Lyon said to be keen.

As things stand, Magassa will be part of Nuno Espirito Santo's squad for the start of the Irons' Championship campaign.

However, that could soon change if his social media activity is anything to go by.

Why Soungoutou Magassa exit may be on at West Ham

Far more was expected from Magassa given his reputation, and indeed price tag, when arriving from Monaco nearly 12 months ago.

West Ham are no longer in need of any sales following the exits of Matheus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville earlier this summer.

However, if they can recoup their money for Magassa - who hailed himself as an "aggressive" midfielder - then that is a deal that may be explored.

Amid the ongoing speculation over his future, the France Under-21s international bizarrely removed all mention of West Ham on his Instagram page.

Not only that, Magassa also blacked out his profile picture on the social media site.

This is considered a modern-day way of players making their displeasure known, without having to even speak out.

Magassa exit could be sanctioned imminently

West Ham have already offloaded some midfielders this season, but Arne Engels is about to arrive from Celtic.

The Hammers are splashing out a Championship record fee in excess of £20m for Engels.

Once the Belgium international is in place in East London, that is when West Ham may consider any offers that come in for Magassa.

It must be noted, though, that the most recent reports regarding the Frenchman fell short of stating any bids had been tabled.

That could son change, with this very much one to keep an eye on.
