Crysencio Summerville's exit from West Ham United could take a step closer on Tuesday.

The Netherlands winger has been heavily linked with a move to Roma over the past week.

West Ham's relegation from the Premier League has meant that an exit for the former Leeds United man has become increasingly inevitable.

Manchester United were prominently linked earlier in the window, though their interest has been intrinsically linked to the future of Marcus Rashford.

The likes of PSG, Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Liverpool have all been linked throughout the window, but Roma have stolen a march in recent days.

Now, it could be the case that West Ham will deliver their final decision imminently, with Summerville heading closer to the exit door each day.

What's the latest offer from Roma for Crysencio Summerville?

West Ham Zone has previously covered talk that Summerville's representatives met with Roma last week .

Those talks are now seemingly pushing closer to a conclusion, with Roma looking increasingly likely to win the race for the 24-year-old's signature.

Now, Sky Sport journalist and presenter Angelo Mangiante has provided a further update on the situation.

Mangiante says that a "definitive answer" on Summerville's move to Roma will arrive on Tuesday.

He says that the latest offer from Roma is approximately £42.4million (€50m) plus bonuses.

Summerville is said to have a strong desire to join Roma, and currently it looks as though there just needs to be a club-to-club agreement to get the deal done.

West Ham must bring an end to Summerville saga

You have to give credit to West Ham for not rolling over and having their bellies tickled this summer.

They stuck to their guns with the sale of Mateus Fernandes, who joined rivals Tottenham Hotspur in an £85million deal.

Now, they are driving a hard bargain with the sale of Summerville, ensuring they get a good deal on a player who was a rare bright note in a dismal relegation campaign.

By the same token, they really need to bring an end to this saga now, because the focus has to be on giving Nuno Espirito Santo the tools to get promoted next term.

There is a lot of work that needs to be done on rejuvenating the squad, and that feels a little in limbo while the future of Summerville and others is sorted.

Credit has to be given for driving hard bargains, but now there must be a focus on improving Nuno's squad.
