Report: Yves Bissouma hands in transfer request amid West Ham interest
West Ham have been handed a major transfer boost as Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has asked for an exit this summer.
According to the Sunday Times, the 24-year-old has told the club that he plans on leaving at the end of the season and has asked to be allowed to leave.
The Hammers are among a host of Premier League clubs queuing up to sign the Mali international from Brighton.
Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all enquired recently about the possibility of signing him in the summer.
Bissouma wanting to leave will have come as welcome news for his suitors and they’re expected to begin negotiations once Brighton give the player the green signal.
East London bound?
Looking at the interest in the player, West Ham signing him this summer will be a tough ask but one we hope we can pull off.
Man City who are soon to be crowned Premier League champions, could also win the Champions League, completing a treble this season. They can offer the player Champions League football – something we’re still fighting for.
There’s no denying, though, that the player would make any Premier League side better, and he has earned praise from the managers, players, as well as the media.
Recently, Gary Lineker took to Twitter to label him ‘exceptional’.
West Ham fans would love to see him sign.
He’s shown up against the toughest of teams this season, putting in phenomenal displays against the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
Given his age and relatively low transfer value, he could prove to be one of the best Premier League signings in the last few years.
