Naldo brokers West Ham United talks for another two new transfers in Brazil
West Ham are still in talks with two potential new transfers from Brazil which are being facilitated by former defender Naldo, according to GOAL.
The Brazilian outlet reported on their website that Naldo, who works for agency business N29 after his retirement, brokered the negotiations between the Irons and Palmeiras for Luis Guilherme.
With Guilherme all but certain to complete his move to the London Stadium, it is stated that Naldo is still in talks with Wesley Gassova and Fabricio Bruno to sign for the Hammers.
Flamengo defender Bruno’s transfer reportedly fell through due to the Brazilian international’s wage demands, but the latest update suggests that Naldo’s conversations are keeping the deal alive [ESPN Brazil].
West Ham United could complete two more Brazilian transfers
The transfer window doesn’t open until June 14, but Julen Lopetegui’s new-look Irons side is already starting to take shape – with an overtly Brazilian presence increasing with every passing link.
The Hammers have given particular attention to South America this summer, sending technical director Tim Steidten and agent Kia Joorabchian to Brazil to negotiate transfers [Evening Standard].

Steidten seemed to have suffered an early blow when Bruno, who recently made his full debut for the Selecao, knocked back the club’s initial wage offer as negotiations took a “crazy” turn [Raisa Simplicio].
This update suggests that Naldo’s presence in the negotiations has restored hope in the transfer being completed, and that should spur the Irons on to complete Bruno’s signing as soon as possible.
Corinthians’ 19-year-old forward Wesley also remains a target in the latest update [Nizaar Kinsella], and given West Ham are already on the brink of sealing Luis Guilherme’s signature, adding a second young, exciting Brazilian winger to their squad could give Premier League defences plenty of problems.
In other West Ham news, a £33.7m update has emerged after the Hammers have contact to sign the best dribbler in one of Europe’s top 5 leagues this summer.
