Marseille are ready to offer Jean-Clair Todibo an exit route from West Ham United.

The Hammers' relegation from the Premier League last season has seen several of their first-team players linked with an exit.

Mateus Fernandes has already departed for Tottenham in an £85million exit, with Manchester United having been tracking him, too.

Crysencio Summerville is attracting plenty of admiring glances, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jarrod Bowen are also the subject of interest from elsewhere.

Centre-back Todibo is another who is on the chopping block, and a falling out with Nuno Espirito Santo means he has surely played his last game for the club.

Todibo sign from Nice, initially on loan, in the summer of 2024, but a move back to France could now be on the cards.

Jean-Clair Todibo stance explained as West Ham ace expected to leave

According to French outlet Foot01, Todibo is pushing to leave West Ham this summer.

Todibo, 26, reportedly has absolutely no intention of playing the Championship next season.

Nine-time Ligue 1 champions Marseille are eyeing a "big move" for a centre-back, and Todibo is said to fit the profile of player they are looking for.

Foot01 added that Marseille are potentially looking to shift players off their books before sanctioning a move.

And it could be that a former West Ham player is crucial to Todibo's hopes of joining the European giants.

How Todibo may get his wish to join Marseille from West Ham

Marseille have had an ambitious project over the last couple of years, as they look to consistently challenge Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

However, that being said, Foot01 mentions that players may have to leave before signings are made.

One of the players on the chopping back is apparently Nayef Aguerd, who departed for Marseille from the Hammers last September.

Leonardo Balerdi and Facundo Medina have also been linked with a move away.

One thing is for sure, there is repairing the relationship between West Ham and Todibo.

If there is an opportunity to get him off the books, then it is one the Hammers must be actively attempting to sort to get his wages off the books.

Nothing feels certain with this one, but it does - at least on the surface - feel like one that would make sense for all parties.
