Jean-Clair Todibo has West Ham exit route as complex transfer on cards already
Jean-Clair Todibo's West Ham career could be nearing its end already in this transfer window.
The Frenchman arrived in E20 as a highly acclaimed centre-back. However, life has not gone as planned with West Ham relegated to the Championship.
Whether or not Todibo would be open to playing in the second-tier is almost irrelevant, amid reports of a rift with manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
It has been stated the 26-year-old informed the Hammers manager that he would not play for him again.
At that point, the relationship is strictly broken, and it would take a significant bridge to be built to mend it.
However, Todibo may have his way out of East London before pre-season begins.
What has been said about Jean-Clair Todibo's future?
Various West Ham stars will be seeking exit routes away from London Stadium, with eyes on playing at a higher level.
One of those will of course be Todibo, who has fallen out with manager Nuno.
It seems unlikely that the former OGC Nice defender will line-up in the claret and blue again, at least under the Portuguese boss.
However, Fenerbahce are reportedly offering him that route out of England in this transfer window.
According to Jeunesfooteux, the Turkish giants are "closely monitoring the situation."
The information also shares that a potential loan with an option to buy deal is being worked on.
It also states that it may be a saga that does not have an early conclusion with the situation being described as "complex."
Why West Ham should reject loan with option to buy
While Todibo may have played his last game for West Ham, the Hammers should not succumb to the demands of potential suitors.
The Irons have already dealt with Fenerbahce, who signed Edson Alvarez last summer on a similar type of deal.
Now, after the Istanbul outfit decided not to activate their option for the Mexican ace, the Irons are left with a headache.
With the future of Alvarez once again uncertain, the Irons will have to find another buyer or keep him for the upcoming season.
In terms of Todibo, if a loan with an option to buy deal is struck this summer window, we could be looking back next summer with the same issue arising.
The Hammers must secure a guaranteed transfer fee for Todibo, especially with Nuno sticking around until at least 2028 based on his current contract.
As long as the rift between the manager and player exists, there will be no place for Todibo in E20.
