Inter Milan stance on Yann Bisseck exit shared as West Ham United make transfer approach

West Ham United have approached Inter Milan over the potential signing of Yann Bisseck, according to FC Inter News.

The Italian outlet reported on its website on Sunday (8 August) that the Irons have made contact with the European giant to find out if they would be willing to part ways with the German defender ahead of the transfer deadline.

However, Inter have no intention of selling Bisseck at any price as they view him as the future of their defence as Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi enter the twilight of their careers in Italy.

The Italian club only spent around £6million to sign the German from Aarhus GF last term and while he is valued in the region of £17.9million, Inter still consider him to be nontransferable.

Will Yann Bisseck exit Inter Milan amid West Ham transfer rumours?

Julen Lopetegui is known to be keen to revamp West Ham’s backline this summer and while the signing of Max Kilman was a huge step in the right direction, the Irons are still looking to make further defensive additions.

The Hammers have been linked with several different centre-backs between now and the start of the transfer window, but for whatever reason they’ve not been able to get any deal other than the signing of Kilman completed.

Lopetegui and Tim Steidten do have plenty of money to spend, but they have had to make signings all over the pitch and that has limited their ability to pay over the odds for players whether that be Bisseck or Jhon Duran.

If Inter genuinely consider Bisseck to be unsellable this summer, their asking price is only going to get higher as the end of the window draws closer and closer in the coming weeks.

Unless that valuation drops before the window slams shut, this deal feels as if it will be a total non-starter. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Steidten and his recruitment team had already moved on to alternative targets.
