Fenerbahce table bid to sign West Ham forward Yarmolenko

Fenerbahce have tabled a bid to sign West Ham forward Andriy Yarmolenko this summer, according to VOLE journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.

Writing via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday night, the Turkish broadcaster reported that an “offer” has been made for the 31-year-old Ukraine international, who’s in the final year of his contract at the London Stadium.

Yarmolenko was a bit-part player for West Ham last season but impressed at the European Championships this summer with two goals and two assists in his five starts for Ukraine.

Yarmolenko exit does look likely

It would not be a surprise if Yarmolenko leaves West Ham this summer.

The former Dynamo Kiev attacker has really struggled to meet expectations in East London, struggling with injury issues and finding his form in his three years here.

Last term, the Ukraine forward made 15 appearances in the Premier League and only managed to make one start.

In total, Yarmolenko has made just 54 appearances for the Irons in three seasons, scoring 10 goals in the process.

As he’s in the last year of his contract, it’s time to let him go and hopefully make a bit of money from selling him on.

We’re not sure how much Fenerbahce have bid for the attacker but transfermarkt values him at just £3.6million so it’s unlikely much money will be made from selling him.

Still, it’s better than losing him for free next year and we encourage the Irons to cash in on the injury-hit ace.

In other West Ham news, the Irons are in talks to sign this player who could be a mainstay for Moyes next season.
