Fabrizio Romano reveals multi-million West Ham United agreement for Carlos Soler

West Ham United and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a buy-option clause for Carlos Soler, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reported via X (30 August) that the Hammers will have the option to make Soler’s stay at the London Stadium permanent for £16.8million.

West Ham United to sign Carlos Soler on loan from Paris Saint-Germain

An exciting deal for the Hammers has just got even better. Therefore, supporters will be delighted.

It has been an incredibly positive transfer window for the club. As a result, Julen Lopetegui is bound to be delighted with how his first few months at the club have gone.

The transfer window is set to shut at 11 pm on Friday (30 August), and it therefore looks as though a deal for Soler will be finalised with a matter of hours to spare.

And it is a deal which is very favourable for Lopetegui’s side. Should Soler not live up to expectations, the Hammers do not have any obligation to make his stay permanent.

However, if he takes the Premier League by storm, the club will have the chance to sign him for as little as £16.8million.

And considering the midfielder is still only 27, that is a very cheap fee for a player more or less in his prime.

Therefore, Lopetegui is likely to be delighted. The club are clearly listening to their manager, which is evident by James Ward-Prowse’s imminent move to Nottingham Forest (via Fabrizio Romano, 30 August).

Ward-Prowse wasn’t a part of Lopetegui’s first-team plans. As a result, he is set to head elsewhere.
