Fabricio Bruno to miss games ahead of new West Ham United transfer
Fabricio Bruno is set to miss crucial games for Flamengo as the defender nears a transfer move to West Ham this summer, according to GE Globo.
The Brazilian outlet reported [23 May] that the 28-year-old wants to say goodbye as Flamengo face Millonarios before missing matches against Vasco da Gama, Gremio and Athletico Paranaense.
It is understood that the club are keen for Bruno to avoid sustaining any injuries before the summer transfer window opens which could affect his £12.8million move to the Premier League.

The defensive area of the pitch has been a major concern at the London Stadium this season, so fans will be extremely excited to see a defender already linked with a move to the club.
Bruno is an established figure in Brazil with 114 appearances for Flamengo since joining in 2022, though the club will be taking no risks as they look set to earn a decent fee for the centre-back.
If he were to pick up an injury in the final few games of his Flamengo career, it could cause havoc for West Ham in the transfer market, having to search for a brand new defensive addition.
Despite a rather impressive injury record, missing just one game since the 2021/22 campaign due to a broken nose, the Irons will want to take no risks with this transfer.
With the standards of defending from Kurt Zouma, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Nayef Aguerf and Angelo Ogbonna this season, Julen Lopetegui will not want his newest addition to arrive unable to play.
Only Luton Town, Burnley and Sheffield United conceded more goals than the Hammers this season, suggesting there is plenty of work to do this summer, and Bruno will just be the start.
