Everything Nuno said on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jean-Clair Todibo amid West Ham exit latest

Nuno Espirito Santo has addressed the West Ham United futures of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jean-Clair Todibo.

The duo have been heavily linked with the London Stadium exit door during the summer transfer window.

Indeed, neither full-back Wan-Bissaka nor centre-back Todibo were involved for West Ham against Portsmouth on Saturday.

The Hammers started their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Pompey in the EFL Cup, with a very youthful looking bench selected by Nuno.

The absence of the two defenders will only exacerbate rumours of an exit before the end of the transfer window.

And Hammers boss Nuno answered a direct question about the pair following the victory over John Mousinho's men.

Todibo's future at West Ham has looked clear cut for quite some time given reports he fell out with Nuno last season.

A return to France with Marseille had previously been mooted, while both AC Milan and Napoli in Serie A are being credited with an interest.

For Wan-Bissaka there is said to be a desire for him to remain in the Premier League following West Ham's relegation last season.

Everton are among the clubs thought to be monitoring his situation, while Arsenal were previously linked earlier in the window.

Nuno addressed their absence after the game, and provided an update on where things are with Wan-Bissaka and Todibo.

In quotes reported by Knees Up Mother Brown, Nuno said: "Yeah, we have to choose. We have to decide. Let's decide at least. Let's see.

"Meanwhile, the other players that are here, we're going to try to work with all of them and get the best out of all of them."

West Ham writing surely on the wall for Wan-Bissaka and Todibo

Nuno's comments all but confirm that West Ham are looking for solutions for the wantaway pair this summer.

Tobido's exit would come as a surprise to absolutely no one, and the arrival of Joel Veltman offers some much-needed experience in defence.

Wan-Bissaka's situation did not look quite so cut and dry, especially given money has been raised by the sales of Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville, and Freddie Potts.

But it looks increasingly like the 28-year-old wants to depart West Ham, and surely a solution will be found to suit all parties.
