Aaron Wan-Bissaka appears to have burnt his bridges at West Ham United.

The 28-year-old defender has been with West Ham since the summer of 2024, where he's since turned out 65 times in all competitions.

Nuno Espirito Santo tended to rotate between Wan-Bissaka and Kyle Walker-Peters as the Hammers' starting right-back in 2025-26.

But after playing just 27 times in all competitions last term and following West Ham's relegation to the Championship, he's been strongly linked with a transfer exit this summer.

He's so far not featured for West Ham in pre-season, with that also partly being down to being given an extended break following his involvement at the World Cup with DR Congo.

But the former Manchester United defender may already have played his last game for the Hammers.

The report claims that alongside Wan-Bissaka, West Ham are "desperate" to get rid of Niclas Fullkrug and Jean-Clair Todibo as well, as those two didn't attend the photoshoot either.

So, we may well learn once and for all just how West Ham feel about Wan-Bissaka on Saturday, as the Hammers prepare to get their competitive action for 2026-27 underway.

Why Portsmouth will tell West Ham fans all they need on Wan-Bissaka

West Ham welcome Championship rivals Portsmouth to the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

Given Wan-Bissaka hasn't enjoyed any pre-season minutes, this would typically be an ideal game for Nuno to bring him back into the fold for.

However, with Joel Veltman now through the door and Walker-Peters looking increasingly likely to stay, the Irons already seem to have made their right-back plan pretty clear ahead of the new campaign.
