Every West Ham player facing 2027 exit as contracts expire next summer

West Ham United will have plenty of contractual decisions to make at the end of the season.

The Irons are currently off the back of the summer window with attentions now turning to the Championship season.

However, as the campaign rumbles on, there will be conversations taking place over those whose immediate future in East London is under threat.

Losing players on free transfers is never an ideal situation but can often be unavoidable.

West Ham, though, will want to ensure that is not the case for any of their key squad members.

Decisions will have to be made over whether certain players deserve fresh terms or should be allowed to move on, with those deals now examined.

The West Ham players who will be out of contract after this season

There are currently four West Ham players who have one season left on their deal.

Those come in the form of Maxwel Cornet, Tomas Soucek, Kaelen Casey and Alphonse Areola.

Cornet, though, does have an option that can extend his contract until 2028, a fact the Hammers may take up to recoup funds on the Ivorian next summer.

Areola is not West Ham's number one goalkeeper, so it remains to be seen how willing he would be to remain in E20, should the Irons look to offer him a deal to stay longer.

But as things stand, he will be leaving as a free agent at the end of the campaign.

Soucek is one of West Ham's most experienced players, but the Czech international is also currently heading for the exit door in June 2027.

Casey's contract is set to expire, with the 21-year-old defender currently out on loan with Stevenage.

The Hammers have also done plenty of work in the loan market this summer, with four new arrivals in E20 on those types of deals.

Some of those do contain either options to buy, or conditional obligations to buy.

As things stand though, Morato will leave at the end of the season, returning to Nottingham Forest.

While Adama Boiro will do the same with Athletic Club following the final game this campaign.

Both players can be brought back on a permanent deal though.

Joel Piroe has an obligational purchase clause, however, that will only trigger if West Ham get promoted.

While Divine Mukasa will leave West Ham at the end of the season with his loan having no option or obligation attached.
