David Moyes orders West Ham United to re-sign Jesse Lingard from Manchester United
David Moyes has ordered West Ham to re-sign Jesse Lingard in the summer with his Manchester United contract due to expire in June, according to 90min.
The football news outlet reports that Newcastle United have backed away from negotiations due to the 29-year-old’s “hefty” wage demands.
It is understood that West Ham are now in touch with Lingard’s resentences in a bid to re-sign the England international, who spent the second half of last season at the London Stadium.

Sigh…
You could see it coming from a mile off.
Lingard did well at West Ham last season, he opted to stay at Man United last summer and has barely played since.
After returning to Old Trafford last year, Lingard has gone on to make 22 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils but only four of them have been starts.
He had his chance to join us permanently and instead, he’s spent a year being sat on the bench and barely playing.
Do we want to see a player who rejected us less than a year ago back at the London Stadium?

If Lingard hadn’t done as good as he did last term, then we’d be saying “no” straight away but due to how impressive he was, it’s hard to ignore it.
But this speculation is predictable and is bound to be rife all the way until the point that Lingard does eventually find himself a new club.
If Newcastle are baulking at his wage demands – won’t West Ham do the same?
Whether or not it should happen, we’re conflicted. But whether or not it will happen, we don’t think it will.
In other West Ham news, Sky Sports report that the Irons are finally ready to make a major move to sign this striker in the summer.
