Crysencio Summerville will leave West Ham as new Premier League twist mentioned
Crysencio Summerville is currently lighting up the World Cup as a West Ham United player.
Nobody at the London Stadium is delusional enough to assume that he'll be there for much longer, though.
That's because West Ham were relegated to the Championship, and Summerville has already done that once.
The winger made a name for himself in the second tier with Leeds, but left Elland Road for the Irons after failing to earn promotion.
Despite the disappointment of injuries and further relegation, he has still managed to remain a bright light for West Ham.
And with two goals in the opening two games of the World Cup for the Netherlands, his value is only going one way.
Crysencio Summerville transfer drama not over
Despite being linked with Manchester United, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain, more is still expected.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Summerville will leave West Ham, but more Premier League interest is expected.
The Italian transfer journalist predicts that there will be movement soon.
"Crysencio Summerville, who is in the Championship right now, because he is playing for West Ham, and that's not going to be the case," he said.
"The player is going to leave, he's in the links with Manchester United. I think more Premier League clubs could join the race.
"Around Summerville, there will be movement."
Who else could leave West Ham, and when?
The list will be never ending.
Mateus Fernandes is the obvious candidate, and he will be the one to bring in the most money at the London Stadium.
With over £100million needed to cover the losses already banked and relegation to the Championship, Fernandes and Summerville simply have to go.
Then there are obvious names who will bring less money, the likes of Konstantinos Mavropanos, Jean-Clair Todibo and maybe El-Hadji Malick Diouf.
Jarrod Bowen is the biggest question mark, and despite David Moyes sniffing around at Everton, there is massive hope that he will stay and fight.
Others will also leave, but after the disappointment of last season, many fans won't be too bothered about the other names.
You can expect a strong core under Nuno Espirito Santo, though, with the likes of Tomas Soucek likely to stick around and show what true loyalty looks like in modern football.
As for Summerville, there is that acceptance that he is too good for the Championship and nobody will hold that against him.
