Crysencio Summerville demands to join Roma emerge as West Ham decision expected in days
Crysencio Summerville continues to be linked with Roma amid what looks an inevitable West Ham United exit this summer.
The Netherlands winger, 24, wants to depart London Stadium after the Hammers were relegated from the Premier League.
There has been no shortage of interest in the forward's services, with Manchester United said to be interested.
The Red Devils are expected to need to sell MarcusRashford to press on with a transfer, though.
Serie A side Roma have been heavily tipped to make in recent days, while the likes of PSG, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Al-Hila have all been mentioned.
Now, a new report has hinted at what sort of demands Summerville is making to join the Serie A side.
What demands is Crysencio Summerville making to join Roma?
West Ham Zone has covered reports that Villa have offered Summerville a significant financial package to gazump Roma.
Gazzetta dello Sport has now reported more details from Summerville's entourage meeting with Roma this week.
The Italian daily says that Summerville is demanding an annual salary of around £5million per year (€6m).
However, Roma are hoping to agree a deal around £3.4-£3.8m (€4-€4.5m) plus bonuses to get Summerville to sign.
They say the wage demands are currently a sticking point, but Rome are aiming for a repsonse within five to six days.
Who else could leave West Ham this summer?
West Ham's dismal relegation has resulted in a plethora of first-team players being linked with the exit door.
Indeed, Mateus Fernandes has already departed in an £85m move to join fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur this window.
It is surely a case of when, not if, Summerville also heads for the exit door, with the former Leeds United man not keen on playing in the Championship next season.
Beyond that, some are more unclear than others.
For instance, Jean-Clair Todibo will surely be allowed to depart, and he has been linked with a move back to France with Marseille.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Everton, and serious bids may be entertained.
Captain Jarrod Bowen has also been attracting reported interest from Everton and Aston Villa, but there is growing confidence he will stay and lead the fight to return to the Premier League.
