Atletico Madrid respond as West Ham United table £29m+ bid for Samu Omorodion
West Ham United have had a £29.5million offer to sign Atletico Madrid attacker Samu Omorodion rejected, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian transfer specialist reported via his personal X account [15 June] that the LaLiga giants had turned down a bid for their 20-year-old striker two weeks ago, revealing it was from the Hammers.
It is understood that Atletico are aware of interest from Serie A, including Roma, but no other clubs have made formal bids other than West Ham.

Julen Lopetegui is clearly targeting a new striker ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, having also registered an interest in Juventus prospect Matias Soule this month.
Michail Antonio is currently the only real striker option at the Spaniard’s disposal, with Danny Ings disappointing since arriving from Aston Villa in January 2023.
While Antonio still has energy left in his legs, the Jamaican international has been plagued by injuries recently, which has seen his career at London Stadium take a bit of a nosedive.
Lopetegui must bring in a new striker this summer if the Irons are to compete in the top half of the Premier League table following David Moyes’ exit.
Tammy Abraham is another name that has been linked with a move to London Stadium, though Omorodion looks to be a much younger and fitter prospect this summer.
The striker, who spent last season out on loan with Deportivo Alaves, notched eight goals and one assist in LaLiga, which has seen his price tag skyrocket, having never made a senior appearance for Atletico.
It appears that West Ham will need to spend big if they are to acquire Omorodion’s signature in the summer transfer window, and this will need to be done before other clubs decide to take a chance on him.
