Adama Boiro contract examined - Here's what we know about West Ham loanee

West Ham United are yet to see much from Adama Boiro this season.

The Spaniard completed late loan move to the London Stadium on deadline day in the summer.

There was some frustration towards the deal, but only because of the way the announcement was delayed and made fans believe something else was going to happen.

That hasn't caused a negative atmosphere surrounding the left-back, although he has only featured once so far.

The left-back made his debut against Derby County as he featured for 13 minutes off the bench.

There is plenty of time for Boiro to prove himself for West Ham as we now assess what we know about his contract situation.

What is Adama Boiro's West Ham wage?

There isn't very much known from supporters about the defender after his move from Athletic Club.

The 2002-born ace has been a squad player in Bilbao for several years, but never quite became a starter.

That is reflected in his reported wages that have carried into his London Stadium spell.

Boiro is reportedly paid £7,000-per-week before bonuses with the Hammers believed to be covering that in full.

That equates to around £364,000 for the year, which is much lower than several names in Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.

There will be hope he can do well in East London as his future will soon come into question.

Will West Ham sign Boiro permanently?

It is interesting to see how little the summer recruit has played despite coming in on loan.

As part of that, the Irons have the option to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer.

It isn't yet clear what fee is involved in that deal, but does change the context of the deal.

What we do know is that West Ham paid a fee in the region of £430,000 as a loan fee for the left-back's services.

Should the claret and blue outfit decide against making his deal permanent, he will be safe in his future at Athletic Club.

Boiro's contract is set to run at San Mames Stadium until June 2029.
