West Ham fans will love where Aaron Cresswell was spotted during Manchester United draw
Former West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell was spotted in the away end at Old Trafford on Thursday and shared a wholesome post on social media.
West Ham drew 1-1 with Manchester United in a game where the Hammers deserved a point at the very least.
Soungoutou Magassa scored his first Premier League goal for the Hammers in the 83rd minute, which topped off a truly dazzling display in midfield.
Nuno Espirito Santo made big changes to his West Ham side, as there were plenty of positives to take back to E20.
West Ham‘s X account shared an image of Cresswell among the away support at Old Trafford, while the 35-year-old shared a heartfelt post from the stands.
Aaron Cresswell is still a West Ham fan
Cresswell left West Ham in the summer after spending 11 seasons in East London, where he saw the Hammers transition from the Boleyn Ground to the London Stadium.
During that time, the left-back helped the Hammers compete in four European seasons and was at the heart of West Ham’s Europa Conference League triumph in the 2022-23 campaign.

Cresswell was always a threat in set-piece scenarios, whether that be from a shooting distance or one where he would trouble the opposition with dangerous deliveries.
After being spotted among the travelling Hammers fans, the Englishman uploaded a picture to Instagram from his view in the away stand, which contained the classic Hammers emoji.

Now at Stoke City, it’s fair to say that no Irons fans will be surprised by Cresswell’s current form since leaving.

Cresswell is on fire at Stoke City
In the past two seasons, Cresswell has seen his game time decrease with him now at the back end of his playing career.
However, everyone from a West Ham perspective will be delighted to know that he is thriving in the Championship with Stoke City, who are comfortably sitting in the Play-off spots.
- Cresswell has played 15 times in the Championship this season
- He has two assists
- Stoke City have the best defensive record in the Championship
Cresswell has played at both left-back and centre-back for the Potters, and there’s still a chance that we could see him return to the London Stadium next year.
It just goes to show the type of effect that West Ham can have on a player, and how if a player represents the badge on the front of the shirt, the name on the back will be remembered.
