Andrey Yarmolenko agent refuses to rule out West Ham exit

Andrey Yarmolenko could be on his way out of West Ham after his agent Vadim Shabliy talks about the interest shown in the 31-year-old.

Shabliy also discussed the possibility of moving to Italy to play in the Serie A where the Ukraine international could be a regular for the next three or four years.

He said, according to Russian media outlet Tribuna, “At the moment these are rumours, no one has contacted either the club or us.

“In the Italian championship, Andrei will be able to keep his level for 3-4 years, he has known Shevchenko for a long time, knows his requirements. Why not?

“Of course, many clubs are interested in him. There is nothing from West Ham, they have a contract until the summer. We are waiting for the development of events, there is a lot of interest in him.”

Despite having an impressive Euro 2020 campaign, Yarmolenko has found game time hard to come by this season under David Moyes.

Even though the Hammers failed to bring in a striker this summer, the Scotsman has seldom turned to him in the Premier League.

The majority of Yarmolenko’s minutes on the field of play have come in the Europa League, given the slower tempo of those games.

The Ukrainian, who is known for his “unbelievable” performances for the national team, could even leave in January.

With his contract expiring in the summer, if there is interest as his agent speaks about, then there’s a good chance the Hammers will look to cash in rather than losing him for free.
