WHZ View: Merih Demiral will be an ideal West Ham signing
West Ham have emerged as serious contenders to sign Merih Demiral from Juventus this summer.
According to Juve Live (the sister website of Calciomercato), the Hammers and Everton are two clubs hot on the heels of the Turkish defender who is valued at £30million by the Italian club.
After a disappointing time at Euro 2020 where his country crashed out at the group stages, Demiral can now sort out his future, which if reports are to be believed, is away from Turin.

Juventus are looking to free up squad space this summer and would be hoping to cash in on the Turkish international while there is a high demand for his services.
Important signing
Should we get this one over the line, it could turn out to be undoubtedly one of our signings of the season.
Demiral is a top international defender who’s got the experience of playing in the biggest of games.
We’ve seen the likes of Issa Diop and Craig Dawson concede silly goals when the ball’s played in behind the defence, and signing Demiral would help solve that issue.

At 23, he’s still extremely young for a defender and will only get better in the future.
He’s made just 15 league appearances this season and before his career starts to stagnate, he could look for a move to a club that will guarantee him regular playing time.
Juventus don’t seem to value him so a move away from the Old Lady would help him get his career back on track.
He would likely be one of David Moyes’ first names on the team sheets and will be lauded by the London Stadium faithful if a move was completed.
Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the Turkish defender is a physical specimen who’s robust and extremely prolific in the air. He could prove to be a set-piece threat in both boxes – making him an ideal player for Moyes.
