WHZ View: Eddie Nketiah would be perfect for West Ham

West Ham have been linked with a move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, and he would be a brilliant signing for the club.

During the summer transfer window, Fabrizio Romano claimed that the Hammers were interested in signing the 22-year-old striker, among other clubs.

It seems they are interested in signing him again but are likely to face competitions from other Premier League and European clubs [TMW].

Cut-price deal

Nketiah has a contract at Arsenal till the end of the season. Mikel Arteta, who previously called him ‘extraordinary’, wants him to commit his future at the club.

However, Nketiah is yet to sign a new deal, and there is no indication that he will do so in the near future. Arsenal run the risk of losing him for free next summer, and they could cash in on him in January.

Despite Nketiah’s obvious talent, he hasn’t played much this season, and with his contract running down, he could be available on a cut-price deal.

Need for a striker

West Ham desperately need to sign a striker this January. Michail Antonio remains the only recognised striker at the club, and he needs support and competition for that spot.

Nketiah is a natural finisher. He would get enough games at West Ham, and the club can offer him a very good wage package as well.

West Ham are flying high at the moment and the striker could be keen to join a club that are looking to break into the top-four this season.

He will still get to stay in London which could be a big factor while deciding his next move.

In theory, Nketiah would be a smart signing for the club. He is a fantastic talent and all he needs is regular games, something Moyes can provide him at West Ham.

In other West Ham news, we think that the Hammers should go all out and sign this 20-year-old striker.
