West Ham will not sell defender Issa Diop in the summer
West Ham are unlikely to part ways with French defender Issa Diop in the summer, according to Claret and Hugh.
The report claims that there is no desire at the club to part ways with the 25-year-old.
Diop, who was linked with the exit door in January, stayed on as a Hammers player and is likely to be at the club beyond this summer as well.

C&H wrote, “A top club insider has confirmed to us that there is no desire at the club to move the Frenchman out of the club in the next transfer window after he has shown signs of returning to his very best.
“Diop, we have been told, will be kept at the club and there could well be talks over a potential new contract, with his current deal set to expire in 2023.”
Right move?
While Diop is unlikely to ever be the first-choice centre-back at the club, having him in the dressing room makes sense.
He’s not one to throw a fit if he’s not getting game time and is always happy to come on whenever the manager needs a body in defence.
He may not have started the season well but has improved in the past few weeks.

David Moyes can now rely on Diop to put in a shift should Craig Dawson or Kurt Zouma get injured.
However, him staying at the club should not mean that the Hammers do not sign a centre-back in the summer.
That’s a position that needs strengthening and the club must do all they can to get a new defender over the line.
