West Ham United will only sell ‘fringe players’ this summer
West Ham will only consider selling their fringe players this summer according to Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers’ biggest stars will undoubtedly attract interest this summer, with Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen both having outstanding seasons.
However, it was suggested by Claret and Hugh on Thursday [26 May] that only fringe players will be let go.

The website’s source at the London Stadium revealed: “There’s no chance [of West Ham selling their best players].
“We’d only sell fringe players in this window as we are very short of players.”
Hammers in a good position
The Irons are in an excellent position when it comes to interest in their players this summer.
Bowen’s contract runs until 2025 and Rice’s deal runs until 2024, with the club holding an option on the England midfielder.
Both players have had stellar seasons and are worth a lot to David Moyes and are pivotal in the way the Hammers play.

There will be interest in both players, but whether a bid comes in that could tempt the Hammers into letting their star men go remains to be seen.
The club hierarchy must decide whether they want to completely overhaul the squad or try and build a team around Bowen and Rice.
If either player was sold this window, the Moyes would have a healthy transfer budget to reassemble his thing squad.
West Ham’s reluctance to sell will come as good news to Hammers fans, who will be hoping another year at the London Stadium will be enough to convince Rice to remain at the club past the expiry of his current deal.
In other West Ham news, West Ham are interested in signing this Watford duo.
