West Ham United want to sign Palmeiras midfielder Danilo in January transfer window
West Ham are reportedly locked in a transfer battle with Leeds United, Arsenal and a number of Premier League clubs for Palmeiras midfielder Danilo.
According to Calciomercato [10 January], the Brazilian can leave the club as early as January and is available for a fee in the region of £17.6million.
Barring Leeds, Arsenal and the Hammers, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Brighton have been linked with Nottingham Forest understood to be the favourites currently.

Going to be tough
The Hammers most certainly need to sign another midfielder in January given Tomas Soucek’s wretched run of form spanning back to last season.
From being one of the first names on the team sheet, the Czech international has almost become a liability at the club and David Moyes may not start him regularly if he has better options available.
Danilo would be an ideal player to have in the middle of the park as he would offer something different to this Hammers side.

Being a left-footed player, he likes to play on the right side of the pitch and due to his “fantastic” dribbling ability, he likes to occupy the half spaces where he’s at his most lethal.
Signing him ahead of teams like Arsenal and Newcastle is going to be difficult, but if a deal is to be done, West Ham need to be all over it.
They have been tracking the Brazilian for over a year now so it’s about time they end up making a move for him.
