West Ham United ‘very, very reluctant’ to sell Jarrod Bowen to Arsenal
West Ham would be “very, very reluctant” to sell Jarrod Bowen to Arsenal this summer, but the Gunners are interested in case Bukayo Saka leaves according to ExWHUemployee [June 13].
It was reported on Saturday [June 11] by The Beautiful Game podcast that the north London club had opened talks with the 25-year-old’s representatives over a potential move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
And while Ex confirmed on his Patreon podcast that there is interest, he claimed that any deal hinged on current star winger Saka potentially leaving the club and then Arsenal offering the Hammers a fee that was beyond what they would be expecting.

“Jarrod Bowen was linked to Arsenal over the last few days,” he said.
“A lot of that depends on whether they can get Saka to sign a new deal. If Saka goes they’re going to need a replacement for the wing and they do like Bowen.
“But the club would be very, very reluctant to sell Jarrod Bowen. It would be another Declan Rice situation, so I can’t imagine they would sell him.
“Unless there was a real substantial, above what was expected bid, but I can’t see Arsenal doing that.”
No chance
Anything can happen in football, but there’s no reason for West Ham fans to fear that Bowen could leave the club this summer and end up in an Arsenal shirt.
They aren’t in the Champions League, they’re unlikely to be able to give us the type of money that would convince us to sell and right now we’re competing for the same things.

With three years remaining on his contract the club are in a great position to leverage any interest from elsewhere, and the two parties have been in talks over a new contract recently too.
It seems like a pipe dream from the north London club to be able to get a deal done and if something were to happen it would only be if Saka, a lifelong Arsenal fan and academy graduate, left for pastures new.
There are far too many moving parts and “ifs” around this deal right now to be scared about, so I think we can all rest easy if we see this one popping up in the papers any time soon.
