Arsenal open talks with West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen with representatives
Arsenal have opened talks with the representatives of West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen over a blockbuster summer transfer, according to The Beautiful Game Podcast [June 11].
Bowen had a super season for the Hammers where he scored 18 goals and registered 11 assists in all competitions as they finished 7th in the Premier League and reached the Europa League semi-finals.
That has seen him linked with a move to Liverpool, but now it’s being reported that Arsenal have made a move to establish his interest in a transfer by opening talks with his agents.
The Beautiful Game podcast has grown hugely over the last few years, with exclusive interviews with the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Per Mertesacker, while also breaking the news of Ebere Eze’s transfer from QPR to Crystal Palace two summers ago too.
West Ham are not interested in selling Bowen this summer and it would take an irresistible offer to convince them to change their mind, with some talk of a fee starting at £70m [Football Insider, March 12].

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for Bowen to join Arsenal at this time, and fans should be pretty confident that this is a non-starter.
Sure they’re interested, who wouldn’t be? He’s proven to be able to step up in quality each year and his season in 2021/22 was his best yet as the best performing Englishman in the Premier League.
Had it been a Champions League club coming in then West Ham may have had some problems, but Arsenal are only in the Europa League and that’s something that the player knows he can enjoy at West Ham already.
He still has three years left on his contract and while talks for a new deal have been postponed according to ExWHUemployee [Patreon, June 1], there is no need to panic.
The player is happy at the London Stadium, the club are happy with him and there is no situation where a deal would be forced. Arsenal are better off looking elsewhere.
