West Ham United fans slammed by Garth Crooks as ‘certain’ David Moyes exit claim made
West Ham supporters need to get off David Moyes’s back and support him, according to BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks.
The verdict comes after the Hammers defeated Brentford 4-2 at the London Stadium on Monday (26 February).
Star winger Jarrod Bowen netted a hat-trick in the Premier League victory, with defender Emerson also on target.
“The question I want to know the answer to is ‘When are West Ham fans going to get off Moyes’ back and give him some support?’” Crooks told BBC Sport (26 February).
“They’ve made it clear that they don’t really want him there, and that’s fine. The least they can do is give him some support until the end of the season when he’s certain to take the bait and walk.”
Do West Ham supporters respect David Moyes?
Moyes has had quite a roller-coaster journey at the London Stadium, with the boys spending two different spells at the club.
The second time around has been very successful, with the former Everton and Manchester United boss leading the Hammers to Europa Conference League success.
He has also guided them to a handful of superb Premier League finishes, with another on the cards this time around.
The East London club are now eighth in the top flight after their victory over the Bees, which will have definitely eased some pressure on the man in the dugout given their horrendous 2024 so far.
It remains to be seen what will happen to Moyes at the London Stadium come the end of the season, but he definitely needs the respect of the Hammers fans, with the club improving massively under the guidance of the experienced manager.

All he can do is continue working hard on the training ground and the pitch in order to keep the fans off his back.
