West Ham United battle Everton to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko
West Ham are “keen” to sign Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, but they face competition from Arsenal and Everton, according to The Daily Mail.
The British newspaper reported in their printed edition on 19 June (page 147) reported that the 25-year-old has stated his desire to play in midfield.
He has won nine major trophies in his career since joining Manchester City in 2016, but there is a possibility that he could leave the Premier League champions this summer.

Dilemma
Zinchenko is an experienced Premier League defender and there’s no doubt that he would be a brilliant signing for the club.
The question is – does David Moyes see him as a midfielder?
He has played in midfield for Ukraine, but at the club level, there’s little evidence to suggest that he can be equally good in that position.
Ideally, Moyes would want him as a left-back who can also operate in midfield, but his demands are something else.

Bolstering the midfield areas is a priority for the West Ham boss. Mark Noble has retired while Alex Kral’s loan spell has ended.
The Hammers are short of options in midfield, and quality midfielders are needed this summer.
The defender, however, could look to move in the summer, having only featured in the Premier League 15 times in the previous campaign (2021-22).
The Hammers already have made contact with the agent of Zinchenko, as reported by 90Min on 9 June. If they are indeed serious about signing him, they must move now.
