West Ham set to announce new kits – ExWHUemployee
West Ham will announce their new home kit imminently after images of the 2021/22 strip were leaked on Wednesday, according to ExWHUemployee.
West Ham’s official club store in Romford appeared to have accidentally put up images of the new home kit a day before the official release.
Now, writing on Twitter, reliable Hammers insider ExWHUemployee reports that the official announcement is now “imminent”.
Well, it’s claret and blue
We’re not sure what to think about the new home kit.
It’s claret and blue, of course, so we cannot complain too much but we’re not massive fans of the collar and the way the blue colouring on the shoulder is shaped.
It could be one that will grow on us but it’s not as good as the ones we’ve had in the last few seasons and hopefully the away kits are better.
But the most encouraging detail about the leaked image, courtesy of the club shop employees in Romford, is that Declan Rice is on there.
You don’t usually see players who are set to leave modelling the new shirts and this could be a big move by the Irons to show that Rice isn’t going anywhere despite widespread speculation about him leaving the London Stadium.
Mark Noble is in his final season as a West Ham player so his inclusion is expected, as is Michail Antonio’s.
We’re yet to see any additions to the first team this summer so it would be nice to see someone come in soon and model the new away kit for us.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are in talks to sign this player who could be a mainstay for Moyes next season.
