West Ham plot summer move for Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott
West Ham are reportedly plotting a move for Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott.
According to The Daily Mail, the Hammers are among three Premier League clubs keen on signing the 18-year-old.
Everton and Leicester are both keen on securing the youngster’s services, who has been likened to Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish.

Bristol City are under considerable financial pressure, having recorded a pre-tax loss of £38million.
This means that they could be compelled into cashing in on of their prized assets in the summer – a group of which Scott is a part.
Good option
The Hammers have not hesitated from making signings of players in the Championship.
Thus, links with someone like Scott are not even remotely surprising.
While he may be a good option, he is still only 18 and would be two or three years away from breaking into the first team.

Rather than prioritising players for the future, the Hammers need to sort out their defensive woes and also find a long-term Michail Antonio replacement.
Pressing issues need to be addressed before the club strengthens their academy.
Scott, who has been labelled “phenomenal“, would certainly be a welcome addition but fans would not take him over signing a centre-back or even a left-back for the first team.
