West Ham player ratings v Liverpool: Aaron Cresswell disappoints
West Ham ended up losing 1-0 to Liverpool in the Premier League despite putting up a solid fight on Saturday evening.
Sadio Mane’s goal saw the Reds seal points and close the gap at the top of the table.
A loss for David Moyes’ men resulted in their top-four hopes taking a major blow.

Here’s how we rated the players at Anfield:
Lukasz Fabianski 5
There was a lack of co-ordination for the Liverpool goal and Fabianski could’ve done better there. That ended up being the difference between the two sides.
Ben Johnson 6
The young Englishman is making big leaps towards making the number one right-back position his own. Another impressive game against a quality team.
Kurt Zouma 6
Held the Hammers’ defensive line and was constantly communicating with players around him. Decent effort.
Craig Dawson 6
Has formed a good understanding with the Frenchman and would’ve kept a clean sheet on another day.

Aaron Cresswell 4
Disappointing outing for the stand-in Hammers captain. Lost possession 15 times and did not look sharp enough while contesting duels.
Jarrod Bowen 5
In what could’ve been a potential audition, Bowen failed to deliver. Was unlucky to be injured at the end, but even before that, he wasn’t having a great game.
Tomas Soucek 7
Held the midfield well in Declan Rice’s absence. Did not give the feeling that the Englishman was absent.
Manuel Lanzini 6
Did well playing in a relatively unfamiliar position. Made some crucial tackles in midfield.
Nikola Vlasic 4
Hasn’t enjoyed the start to life at West Ham and this game was no different for him.

Pablo Fornals 6
Led the line with Antonio and put in a decent performance running the channels. Barring a goal, Moyes could not have asked for more.
Michail Antonio 5
Did not get involved in the build up and failed to find space in the final third to fancy any goal-scoring opportunities. Has looked off over the last few weeks.
