West Ham make contact with agent of Adnan Januzaj
West Ham have made contact with the representatives of Adnan Januzaj, according to a report from The Daily Star [15 June].
The report suggests that the Hammers are “weighing” up a “surprise” move for the former Manchester United player.
The Belgium international is about to leave Real Sociedad on a free transfer, and the Hammers are looking to pounce on him.

Gamble
Januzaj was given his debut by David Moyes nine years ago when he was the manager at Manchester United.
His signing would be a big gamble for the Hammers, even though they are getting him for free. The club still need to pay his hefty wages.
But is he the type of player who can make a big difference?
Januzaj didn’t enjoy a fruitful 2021-22 campaign for Sociedad, while his potential signing gives the indication that Moyes is just filling up the space.

West Ham do have a wealth of attacking options, but it still needs bolstering. Andriy Yarmolenko has left the club, while Said Benrahma is facing an uncertain future.
But Januzaj, based on form and talent, isn’t going to be an upgrade over what the Hammers have at the moment.
Is he better than Manuel Lanzini? Benrahma? Jarrod Bowen? No.
He struggled after Moyes left at Manchester United, and there’s little evidence to suggest that he has turned his career around in all these years.
