West Ham impressed by videos of Conor Coventry

West Ham have been impressed by videos of midfielder Conor Coventry who has been out on loan at MK Dons this season.

According to ExWHUemployee, the club are considering handing him a first-team role for next season.

The midfielder shone in pre-season last summer and was on the cusp of being retained, but was sent on loan to gain some first-team experience.

Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, “The videos of Conor [Coventry] have impressed them and they are starting to look at him as a potential first-team player for next season.

“I hope he keeps this up but I think it’s deserved fully.”

Should be there

Coventry had an incredible pre-season campaign and it was a surprise that David Moyes wanted him out on loan.

The decision to sign Alex Kral has certainly backfired and he’s unlikely to be at the club next season.

Mark Noble is also going to retire which means that two midfield spots will be needed to be filled.

Coventry is the ideal one for one of them and possibly another big signing to ease Tomas Soucek’s workload.

Hopefully, Declan Rice stays put or that will be another overhaul needed in that area of the pitch with at least two midfielders being needed.

In other West Ham news, the club want to sign a ‘Brilliant’ Chelsea player who will tick a major box for David Moyes in the summer.
