West Ham halt contract talks with Declan Rice until end of season
West Ham have halted contract talks with midfielder Declan Rice until the end of the season, according to a report by Claret and Hugh.
It is understood that Rice, who’s guided by his father Sean, could consider offers from Champions League clubs.
The Hammers have put talks on hold as they do not want to distract him from these issues during the season.

Will he leave?
There is a high possibility that Rice leaves as the interest from some of the big clubs is hard to turn down.
The 22-year-old is on the cusp of being world class and deserves to play in the Champions League against some of the best players on the planet.
He’s already rejected two extensions at the Hammers and the fact that things have been halted until the summer, could mean that he’s waiting on making a final decision over his future.
Should he sign an extension, West Ham could demand a higher transfer fee, effectively pricing clubs out for another summer.

Rice knows that with a pandemic-struck market, it may be difficult for clubs to break the British transfer record to secure his services.
It remains to be seen what the future holds, but we’re assured that Rice will remain committed to the cause, no matter what.
He’s not someone who will down tools and that’s precisely why he’s become a fan favourite at this early stage in his career.
