West Ham confirmed XI v Liverpool: Michail Antonio starts

David Moyes has opted to start Michail Antonio for his second game this week as West Ham square off against Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Hammers will be looking to cause an upset as they take on the Reds in a top four clash.

While many would not expect West Ham to beat Jurgen Klopp’s side, their recent form suggests that anything is possible.

Vladimir Coufal, who has been a first-team regular, has been axed, with Ben Johnson coming up after an impressive run of form.

As expected. Lukasz Fabianski comes back into the side with Alphonse Areola playing in midweek and conceding two goals.

While it may be hard to fault him for the strikes, Moyes has relied on Fabianski to be his go-to guy between the sticks.

In defence, as expected, Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna make their return.

The Hammers defence was in shambles in mid-week and hopefully, they’re better this time around.

This is a must not lose game for the Hammers and they will be looking to do all they can to spare their blushes.

It remains to be seen what Moyes’ plan is for this game as approaching it in the same way as previous ones could prove to be damning for them.

Hopefully, he musters a special plan and does his best to ensure that the Hammers nullify the Reds on the day.
