West Ham attacker Michail Antonio may have suffered Grade 1 tear

West Ham attacker Michail Antonio reportedly could be facing a Grade 1 tear which would rule him out for the Sevilla clash for sure.

According to ExWHUemployee, the Hammers striker could be ruled out for a month if that actually is the case.

There will be scans on Tuesday to detail the extent of the injury but it does not look ahead of the Europa League clash.

Ex wrote, “There are conflicting reports with Antonio. They want to look further at the scans tomorrow but there are fears it could be a Grade 1 tear which would effectively put him out for 4 weeks approximately (again this is not confirmed).

“It is thought he is almost certain to miss the Sevilla game though.”

West Ham did not sign an attacker in the January window or the summer before that and are now regretting their decisions.

They knew about Antonio’s age and his injury record but still decided to go ahead with that plan.

Jarrod Bowen may also be ruled out which means that Andriy Yarmolenko will have to start.

While he scored on the weekend, it does not mean that he’s suddenly become a reliable player overnight.

Hopefully, Antonio’s injury is not as serious but he’s certainly looking out for the Sevilla game.

In other West Ham news, the club want to sign a ‘Brilliant’ Chelsea player who will tick a major box for David Moyes in the summer.
