West Ham attacker Andriy Yarmolenko sent home by David Moyes

David Moyes has confirmed that West Ham attacker Andriy Yarmolenko has been sent back to Ukraine which means he will miss the Wolves game on Sunday.

This comes after tensions are at an all-time high between Russia and Ukraine, which has led to football being impacted as well.

Not only has the Champions League final moved to Paris, but there are also Ukrainian players that will be unavailable for a bit.

Journalist Michael Bridge shared via his personal Twitter account, “David Moyes tells me Andriy Yarmolenko has been sent home for a few days. ‘He’s upset as you can imagine and rightly so. It is a real difficult time for him and his family’.”

Good choice

In times like these, it’s important for players to be with their near and dear ones.

Even if Yarmolenko was a first-team regular, we’re sure that Moyes and West Ham would not stand in his way.

West Ham

There are some things more important than football and this certainly is one of them.

While the Ukraine international has had “brilliant” moments for the London outfit, his days in a West Ham shirt appear to be numbered.

He has fallen down the pecking order at the club and is very likely to part ways with the Hammers come the end of the season.

In other West Ham news, the club want to sign a ‘Brilliant’ Chelsea player who will tick a major box for David Moyes
