Tuchel confirms Chelsea have ‘no interest’ in selling West Ham target Armando Broja
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has stated that the club have “no interest” in selling West Ham target Armando Broja in the ongoing transfer window.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old in order to bolster their attacking department ahead of the next campaign.
When asked about what the club’s plan is regarding Broja after a recent £30 million bid from the Hammers, Tuchel was of the opinion that it is good to have an interest in a young player from different clubs.

“Armando is our player first of all and we have, at the moment, no interest in selling him,” he said while talking to Football London. “He is here to make an impression after he was on loan in Southampton.
“That’s his situation from where we look up front. It’s good if there’s interest as it shows us there’s talent and potential.”
Patience
Broja has shown that he is unique because, at such a young age, he can make contributions with and without the ball which makes him a rare commodity to have.
In the 2021-22 season at Southampton, the 20-year-old scored six goals. He averaged 1.4 shots per goal, 0.3 key passes and one successful dribble per game. Moreover, he had a pass completion rate of 61.4% [Whoscored].
West Ham manager David Moyes knows that he cannot go into another European competition with just one recognized striker.

Despite carrying a threat, Michael Antonio is unlikely to play every game because of his injury concerns and therefore, a young striker in Broja would tick many boxes.
With Tuchel’s word, there is no need to panic, at least as of now as he will not claim that the club will let a player leave because that is likely the decrease the market value of their product.
Therefore it is important West Ham’s top-tier management show patience in their pursuit of Broja.
