Fredericks started the season as the first-choice right-back at the London Stadium, with little competition behind him.

Things changed though when he picked up an injury before the international break, something which kept him out for three weeks.

Vladimir Coufal was brought in by the club after that blow, and the Czech international has definitely cemented his spot ahead of him.

Since Frederick’s blow, the experienced right-back has come in and made a real difference in defence and even going forward – claiming an assist against Manchester City.
