West Ham United have had to sell certain players in order to strengthen themselves in recent transfer windows.
That looks like it may continue in the summer, with a number of players reportedly being made surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.
The Guardian have reported that Felipe Anderson, Fabian Balbuena, Manuel Lanzini, Arthur Masuaku and Andriy Yarmolenko could follow Albian Ajeti out of the club.
One player not mentioned on that list is Ryan Fredericks with the defender coming in for heavy criticism this season from fans.
Sky Sports have reported that Premier League rivals Southampton have been alerted to the potential availability of the 27-year-old.
Fredericks has featured 27 times in the Premier League this season and is Moyes’ only current available right-back with Pablo Zabaleta and Jeremy Ngakia leaving the club this season.
That doesn’t seem to be phasing Moyes though, who could switch Ben Johnson across from left-back if needed next season.
Even with Johnson, West Ham would be smart to bring in another experienced right-back though who could make the spot his own next season.
West Ham fans destroyed Fredericks once again on Sunday for his performance in the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa. The former Fulham man was taunted at times by Jack Grealish and lost him too easily for the opening goal.
Despite that, Fredericks does complete three tackles per game according to WhoScored – a number only bettered by Declan Rice. It appears that Moyes wants more than just that though, with the defender another who could leave the club this summer.
