‘Pointless’ – These West Ham fans rip into one player v Leicester
The David Moyes revival that threatened to reinvigorate this season for West Ham United looks to have dissipated in double-quick time.
The team now seem to have no more idea of how to exert themselves in the final third than they did under former boss Manuel Pellegrini.
To be fair to Moyes – and to the Chilean – they can only do so much when talented players like playmaker Manuel Lanzini consistently fail to turn up.
That was certainly the case during the Hammers’ 4-1 defeat to Leicester City on Wednesday night.
The Argentine international was charged with being the player closest to lone striker Sebastien Haller, but for the majority of the game he was nowhere near the big Frenchman.
Moyes had his team playing on the counter attack, yet there was precious little pace and nobody close enough to Haller for him to hold the ball up and find a team-mate.
The West Ham supporters certainly weren’t impressed by what the 26-year-old offered up at the King Power Stadium, with one labelling him ‘pointless’.

In other West Ham news, the club have reportedly been offered the chance to sign a Serie A central midfielder.
